Sundaes to Satisfy your Sweet Tooth

An ice cream sundae is the ultimate indulgence, combining multiple flavours of ice cream, toppings and sauces into a sweet and satisfying cocktail. At Porrelli, we not only take pride in our individual ice creams, but also in how different flavours complement each other when served together.

Here are 4 of our favourite ice cream sundae recipes, including some of our classic flavours of Italian gelato:

Coppa Cioccolato

Ingredients:

2 scoops Porrelli Belgian Chocolate

1 scoop Porrelli Triple Chocolate Chip

Chocolate sauce

Chocolate flake

Whipped cream

Wafers for decoration

This sundae is all about the chocolate. Combining single and triple chocolate varieties of ice cream, as well as sauce and a flake, this is a creamy, chocolatey treat you just have to try.

Coppa Fragola

Ingredients:

2 scoops Porrelli Strawberry

1 scoop Porrelli Double Cream Vanilla

Fresh strawberries

Strawberry sauce

Whipped cream

Wafers for decoration

For those who like strawberries and cream, you can’t go wrong with this tasty sundae. Fresh strawberries add even more fruitiness to this fun and classic dessert. Be sure to use the decorative wafers to mop up all of the whipped cream and sauce drizzled on top!

Traditional Knickerbocker Glory

Ingredients:

1 scoop Porrelli Double Cream Vanilla

1 scoop Porrelli Belgian Chocolate

1 scoop Porrelli Strawberry

Strawberry & peach Sauce

Mixed fresh fruit

Whipped cream

Wafers for decoration

This one is for those who like a little bit of everything. A staple of ice cream parlours the world over, this sundae gives a range of different flavours and textures in every spoonful. Fresh fruit and strawberry & peach sauce give summery vibes, while the combination of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry gelato evoke the classic Neapolitan ice cream flavours!

Coppa Nocciola

Ingredients:

1 scoop Porrelli Hazelnut

1 scoop Porrelli Peanut Swirl

1 scoop Porrelli Belgian Chocolate

Chopped nuts

Chocolate sauce

Whipped cream

Wafers for decoration

You’ll go nuts for this one! Coppa Nocciola is the perfect dessert for fans of the combinations of chocolate & hazelnut or chocolate & peanut butter – you get a bit of both flavours. The addition of chopped nuts also adds some crunch to this creamy, nutty extravaganza.
