Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming the participants of this years YesChef! 2015 with a tour of our factory and an afternoon of making their very own ice cream!
We’re proud to be one of the official sponsors of the YesChef! initiative which equips six service users from Action for Children’s Moving On Project with the skills and experience required to cook up a storm in the kitchen.
As well as providing a first class service front of house, the young people will be delivering the dinner service from start to finish at the Awards ceremony on May 1st at the stunning Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow.
Hosted by Capital FM‘s Des Clarke, the second annual YesChef! event is set to ensure guests are in for a treat from start to finish with a champagne reception, 3 course meal from the Red and Blue menus, entertainment and prizes.
The group of 6 split up into two teams of 3 and each team made Scottish Tablet and Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice cream which will be served to guests at the awards dinner and judged by either voting for the Red or the Blue team.
Accompanying the 6 budding chefs was Darren Tipping, a former YesChef! participant who has now progressed onto becoming a peer mentor for this years contestants. A fantastic achievement and inspiration for the young people involved.
We’d like to wish both teams the very best of luck at the awards ceremony and we look forward to seeing them again in May.
The cost for a table of 10 at the event is £650 and individual tickets cost £65. Book your table for Yes Chef! 2015 now by contacting Emma Jackson here.
Other sponsors include; Two Fat Ladies at The Buttery, SoHo, Grand Central Hotel Glasgow, The Italian Kitchen, The Hilton Grosvenor, Martha’s, Designworks and Pod Creative.
